Update on IACLEA Conference

We are excited to report the IACLEA Conference has been completed and we are not in debt.

 

Our Team of Committee members did a fantastic job in making the IACLEA Conference a success.

Also a special thank you to Lead Communication Officer Carla Fenner of UNCSA for her beautiful singing of the National Anthem and the Canadian National Anthem during the Opening Ceremonies.

 

Also a special “thank you” to Colleges, Universities, and businesses that supported the conference through donations.

During the Breakfast, on the last day of the Conference, the NCACLEA was recognized and we received a standing ovation for the outstanding work on making this a very successful Conference.

 

On June 16, Davidson College hosted our business meeting with an excellent meal.  Steve Gregory is working on the minutes of that meeting and we will forward to all when they are completed.

 

It was a year long project, meeting at least once a month in Charlotte to make everything work successfully.  Yes, it was a long and difficult period but we feel it made us a stronger Association and we received a great deal of recognition.

·       NCACLEA was the first Association in 53 years to host the conference.

·       We had the largest attended Golf Event ever.

·       We raised the most money for the IACLEA Scholarship Fund through the “Silent Auction”.

·       And who would ever think that after 3 hours at the NASCAR Hall of Fame we would have to ask attendees to leave.
